The Use of Plastic by KB A personal essay

A lot of people think plastic should be completely eliminated. Others say it doesn’t matter. Lots don’t know where they stand in this debate. My personal opinion is sort of in the middle. I think we should just be more careful of how much we use. If you have eco-friendly containers, it doesn’t mean you’re a Visco Girl!

Don’t buy everything plastic, but you also don’t have to use only biodegradable things. I myself use glass or metal cups but use reusable plastic tupperware. Utensils, well, it will be better and cheaper to metal (reusable) ones, rather than having to buy a new pack of plastic ones every time you run out. If you have plastic bowls and/or plates, that’s fine, just try to limit the amount you have. Also try to only use those for small snacks.

You don’t have to make posters or organize rallies to change how plastic usage is going. Try to change your own lifestyle and that can influence others close to you to change theirs. You can do small things like recycling your plastics or asking for paper bags at the store.

So go! If you have all plastic things, go ahead and half or even quarter the amount you own! Replace it with porcelain or metal! Remember: change is small changes happening everywhere that creates a big movement.
